Take Yoga Anywhere: How To Benefit From Yoga and Meditation Wherever You Are

take yoga anywhere

In a perfect world, you would grab your cutest yoga outfit, head to a fabulous yoga studio and wait for instructions from your favorite yogi. Let’s face it, there are a million reasons this doesn’t work for many of us. Time and scheduling conflicts. Money constraints and stressing over trying to de-stress.

Not to mention, sometimes the local gym instructor is unable to offer in-depth instruction or help get you to your place of Zen. Take yoga anywhere with my favorite at-home option YogaDownload.com. No more excuses about why you can’t find the time or money to benefit from yoga and meditation.

Take Yoga Anywhere

When I was traveling on a two-week camping trip, I actually envisioned doing yoga like this woman. Stepping outside to greet the sunrise. Peacefully awakening my body and my senses. Basking in the glory of mother nature. Breathing in the fresh mountain air. I must be crazy, because this didn’t happen once.

I couldn’t get up early without waking the whole family in the trailer. It’s nearly impossible to relax when the dog is barking at squirrels. Nobody wants to do yoga outside in the rain. Oh, and I didn’t want to risk being trampled by elk during Savasana.

However, having the opportunity to meditate or practice yoga anytime or anywhere was a new and peaceful experience. I didn’t have to change out of pajamas, and I could pick multiple classes, meditations, target areas, etc. I loved having YogaDownload.com on my phone with me wherever we traveled. Even when I didn’t have service, I had a few previously downloaded classes and programs to utilize.

While most of you are probably not traveling for weeks at a time in your trailer, practicing yoga at home is the most likely scenario for us. Maybe you think yoga is only for Lululemon wearing, teeny-tiny flexible gals who drink homemade plant-based milk lattes and compost their coffee cups. It’s for those women, but it’s really for you. Yoga is a practice for a reason. It’s not to be perfected. It’s ever-changing and beautiful, just like you.

How To Benefit From Yoga and Meditation Wherever You Are

This Is Your Practice

Whether you’re doing lunchtime yoga at your desk, or you’ve set up in the living room, this is your time. Turn off phone notifications. Ask your spouse to handle the kids (or do a quick class during naptime). Get up early to meditate and stretch before planning your hectic schedule. Clear your mind and focus solely on you. This is not just your workout, it’s your daily motivation to show yourself more love.

Find Your Space

One of my favorite benefits of yoga, is how little space and equipment you need. You don’t need to spend thousands on weights, pelotons, or treadmills. Nobody is asking you to clear out an entire room in the house or space in the garage for barbells and pull-ups. All you need is a yoga mat and a quiet space to help you focus. I put up with puppy kisses on the daily, but it usually doesn’t knock me out of my tranquil space.

Take It Outside

Ok, I know I told you my fantasy of stretching under the morning sun in the Rocky Mountains didn’t exactly go as planned. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make it happen. Maybe I didn’t do yoga outside on my vacation, but I did sit outside in the mornings with my coffee and follow beautiful meditations. Why I Use YogaDownload.com To Take Yoga Anywhere

I started practicing yoga 20 years ago. I fell in love with forms of movement both difficult and maybe a little painful, combined with the stress release and forced mindfulness. Being present with your breathe. Knowing your body might be different today than it was last week. Taking out the competitive nature from exercise, and realizing your practice is yours and nobody else’s.

Yoga became one of my most utilized tools during nursing school. I desperately needed it to calm my anxious thoughts and relax my tense muscles. In college, I had the opportunity to take it for 2 years as physical education credits. The instructors were surprisingly knowledgeable and calming. I missed it. I’ve been craving it.

But when my daughter is sleeping and my husband is at the fire station, I can’t just take off to go to yoga. With this program, I can literally take yoga anywhere. I’ve never found another program with the depth and diversity of classes, programs, challenges, teachers, etc.

The benefits of yoga and meditation wherever your are is endless really. It’s fun, convenient and inexpensive. There are multiple pricing options for membership that’s monthly, quarterly, annually, you name it. And all options come with unlimited streaming of classes 24/7.

Tell me, do you practice yoga? Have you ever thought about trying to do it from home? What’s holding you back?
